One of the most popular events at the Carolina Motorsports Park, the 24 Hours of LeMons race, returns to the Westville road course for its two-day fall endurance race on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21.The Carolina Motorsports Park is located along Highway 521 North, some 16 miles from Camden. Before the event, there will be a free LeMons Block Party/car show, which is open to the public with the race cars and their teams lining both sides of the street, on Friday night beginning at 6 p.m. on Broad Street in downtown Camden. The 24 Hours of LeMons is restricted to cars that were purchased, fixed up, and track-prepped for a total of $500 or less. Racers and spectators can count on plenty of noise, prizes, water fights and questionably civilized fun before, during, and after the track sessions. Testing will be held at CMP from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19.
