Basketball regular season play ends; baseball to begin

This week marks the final week of the regular season for basketball teams in Kershaw County with the state playoffs beginning next week.

While basketball is winding down, the recent spate of spring-like weather will lead into Saturday’s Camden Baseball Jamboree, featuring all three county varsity baseball teams, at American Legion Park in Camden.

Here is the listing of athletic contests for the week in Kershaw county.

Tuesday: Indian Land at Camden (BB – 6 p.m.); Blythewood at Lugoff-Elgin (BB – 6 p.m.); North Central at Lewisville (BB – 6 p.m.)

Wednesday: Ninety-Six at North Central in AA-A Upper State duals wrestling championship (6 p.m.); Pinewood Prep at Camden Military Academy (BB – 6:30 p.m.)

Thursday: Camden at Keenan (BB – 6 p.m.)

Friday: Lugoff-Elgin at Columbia (BB – 6 p.m.); North Central at Buford (BB – 6 p.m.)

Saturday: AA-A South Carolina High School League duals wrestling state championships at Airport High School (teams TBD – 11 a.m.); Camden Military Academy at Carolina Gladiators (BB – Noon); Camden High Baseball Jamboree at American Legion Park in Camden (9 a.m. - Fairfield Central vs. Dreher; 10:30 a.m. Richland Northeast vs. Crestwood; Noon - North Central vs. Ridge View; 1:30 p.m. -  Lugoff-Elgin vs. South Florence; 3 p.m. - Camden vs. Lakewood)
