Having an ace ready to go in the final game of a best-of-three series is like emptying your change jar and finding a $20 bill among the pennies, nickels and dimes. In a series knotted at a game apiece heading into Thursday’s finale at American Legion Park, Kershaw County Junior American Legion coach Brandon Faulkenberry sent his ace in the hole, Zac Branham, to the mound to face Hartsville. Branham looked like a million bucks in zipping the visitors on three hits as Post 17 blanked the visitors, 5-0.
