Not even a break from baseball for football last fall failed to slow down Jake Ansley.After a sizzling summer in which he led the Kershaw County American Legion baseball team in batting, the Camden High senior has picked up where he left off this spring for the Bulldogs.Friday night, Ansley shut out host Marlboro County, 6-0, with a complete game gem. To top it off, he added a two-run single in a four-run CHS fourth which helped ice the game for the visitors, who took possession of second place in Region 6-AAA with a 4-2 record. MC slipped to 4-2, although Camden now owns the tie-breaker with four games left in league play.Ansley scattered four hits while fanning eight and walking just one batter in a dominating mound performance.“Jake’s curveball was phenomenal.
