Beckleys no-no means yes yes for Dogs
Camden clinches second place in Region 4-AAA with its 5-0 victory
No-hitter
DEVIN BECKLEY BEARS DOWN in the first inning of his no-hitter from Camdens win over Chapin last Friday. The Bulldogs open state tourney play at home on Friday night.
A night which opened with tears streaming from the eyes of Camden’s senior players and their parents ended with a celebration centered on a sophomore. Devin Beckley needed only one strikeout in twirling a 5-0 no-hitter at visiting Chapin on Friday at American Legion Park in what was the most important game of the season for the hosts. On this occasion, the Senior Night party was doubled as the no-no coincided with the Dogs’ taking second place in Region 4-AAA and hosting Friday’s state tournament opener.
