"Effectively wild" seems to be gaining steam as a new catch phrase for the Camden baseball team. One week after throwing a complete game no-hitter against Chapin to help the Bulldogs wrap up second place in Region 4-AAA, Devin Beckley came within an umpire’s call of duplicating that effort on Friday. Instead, the sophomore had to settle for a one-hitter, which was fine with all parties concerned as the Dogs advanced I to the winner’s bracket in the AAA District III tournament with a 2-1 win over Walhalla at American Legion Park.
