Dogs to Watch

Jerome Robinson, OL:  The 6-2, 270-pound guard was consistent throughout the 2018 campaign, his first as a starter on varsity. He will help anchor a young and large offensive front in this, his senior season.

Mikah Davis and Willis Lane, RB: The Bulldogs lost the verstile and explosive Shymeik Corbett to graduation last spring. Davis, a senior, and Lane, a junior, should help pick up the slack in the ground and in the air. Davis rushed for 389 yards and seven touchdowns while also being effective in the passing game with eight grabs for 189 yards and three scores. Lane, the heavier of the two, ran for 640 yards and seven touchdowns --- including a 71-yarder at Fort Mill --- on just 78 carries last fall.

Joseph Byrnes, S:  When the injury bug struck the Bulldog secondary last fall, Byrnes was called up from the jayvees in time for game five. All he would do in his abbreviated stint would be to ring up 64 tackles. A member of CHS’ 4 x 100-meter relay team in the spring, you can expect to see the junior playing on offense in this  his first full varsity season.
