Both the Camden Middle School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams won the 2017-18 Wateree Region Athletic Conference Championship. The War Eagles finished with a 10-0 conference mark and went 11-2 overall under second-year head coach Quiyam Fleming, who came to CMS after having been the junior varsity girls’ coach at Camden High. Led by Anthony Lyles’ 16 points per game, the War Eagles won both the WRAC regular season and tournament championship.
