Cant play the game without it
Abby
Camden High Schools Abigail McLaughlin has a sure grip on the game ball which she ran into Zemp Stadium for Fridays football game between Camden and Lugoff-Elgin. Following McLaughlin, who handed the ball off to CHS head coach Jimmy Neal at the 50 yard line, is CHS cross country teammate Garrett Lawson. Running the game ball to the site of the rivalry game is something which students from both schools have participated in over the past several years. Last Friday, runners from Lugoff-Elgin ran the first leg of the journey to the Howard Speaks Memorial Bridge before handing the ball off to runners from Camden High who brought the ball into the stadium. Each year, runners from the home team have the honor of presenting the game ball to their head coach. - photo by Photo provided
