tchers in Region 4-AAA squaring off against each other while throwing for two of the top-three ranked teams in class AAA baseball, all indicators pointed toward Camden’s game with visiting Chapin being a low-scoring affair. The Thursday night contest at American Legion Park lived up to its billing with the Eagles scoring the winning run in the fifth and then holding their breath in the bottom of the seventh before being able to exhale as they left town with a 2-1 win. While the Bulldogs’ Will Abbott and his Chapin counterpart and fellow senior right-hander Evan Estridge were taking turns frustrating batters, it was Eagle third baseman Kareem Bowers whose glove work stymied any chance which the hosts had of a big inning.
