CHS girls pass first test
Lady Bulldogs strangle Cobras in state tourney opener, 9-0

Who needs two when nine will do? Having a pair of goals negated in the first 30 minutes of Monday’s AAA state girls’ soccer playoff opener against visiting Cane Bay proved to be little more than a detour for Camden as the Region 6 champions rolled to an easy 9-0 victory at Zemp Stadium. The win keeps the Lady Bulldogs (14-3) at home for tonight’s second round pairing against Airport at 7 p.m. The Eagles (18-6), the Region 5 runners-up, dusted off North Myrtle Beach, 5-1, in their post-season opener.
