In the aftermath of last Friday’s post-game fight with Dreher, while the two teams lined up to shake hands following Camden’s 39-30 win over the visiting Blue Devils, Camden High School principal Dan Matthews announced a new post-game policy for players and fans beginning with tonight’s home game with Richland Northeast.

"We’re going to make a change for the safety of the players and, for the safety of the fans, as well," Matthews said on Thursday morning. "This week, there will not be a handshake after the game and the two teams will leave the field.

"We are going to keep all fans off the field until after both teams leave the field and go to the locker rooms. Once both teams have left the field, then the fans can go on the field. Until then, no one will be allowed on the field."

Earlier in the week, Camden High head coach Jimmy Neal talked with Richland Northeast head coach Jay Frye and the two coaches were in mutual agreement that, following tonight’s contest, the two teams will not shake hands and will head to their respective locker rooms. Neal and Frye are expected to meet at midfield to shake hands following the completion of the contest.
