CHS netters get first Region 4-AAA win

trip to the capital city proved beneficial for the Camden High girls’ tennis team which evened its Region 4-AAA mark at 1-1 following Tuesday’s 6-0 win over host Lower Richland.The Lady Bulldogs started fast and never let up in route to the shutout victory.Junior Helen Koutroulakis, playing at number four singles, was the first player off the court earning a 6-0, 6-1 win over Leah McRant. She was quickly joined by Camden's top two players, Katie Tiller and Madison Hudson, who both earned 6-0, 6-0 wins in the first and second singles, respectively. “Helen’s been working hard and it was nice for her to go out and set the tone early to set the pace for our team,” said CHS head coach Stephen Sutusky.
