CHS netters split pair with B'wood and Chapin

Following a 6-0 dismantling of Westwood last Tuesday, the Camden High tennis team fell for the second time in five Region 4-AAA pairings in a 4-2 defeat at Chapin on Thursday.The Chapin encounter was a rematch of last season’s AAA state quarterfinal, also won by the Lady Eagles by a 4-2 score.“We knew this would be a tough order against Chapin following our loss a year ago, but our girls battled as hard as they could, once again,” said second-year Lady Bulldog head coach Stephen Sutusky. The hostesses jumped to a 1-0 lead when their second doubles team of to Olivia Cartwright and Coco Haung downed the CHS duo of Clarke Allen and Virginia Lackey by identical 6-3 scores. Camden second singles player, Madison Hudson, also lost a tough match to Mary Katherine Dickson.
