Camden High School and the CHS athletic department will celebrate the life and career of its former girls basketball coach, Mike Culp, when the school names its basketball court inside the CHS gym after Culp during next Friday night’s (Jan. 21) home game with Marlboro County. Culp, 63, passed away on Jan. 27, 2010 following an extended illness. By naming the playing surface in Culp’s memory, CHS becomes the first school in Kershaw County to name a playing site after a former coach, teacher and/or administrator.
