CHS wrestlers split with IL, Caps

Leading visiting Camden, 34-3, with half of the 14 matches left to be wrestled in Tuesday’s Region 4-AAA opener, host Indian Land overcame five consecutive Bulldog pins to hold on for a 44-33 win. Earlier in the evening in a tri-match featuring three teams ranked in the top 16 AAA squads in the most recent statewide poll, Camden defeated Columbia, 49-21. Joey Hendrix’s Bulldogs headed to Indian Land ranked sixth in the state while the host Warriors were one slot behind in seventh.
