Cobb delivers for Bulldogs

Frustration had been Camden’s constant offensive companion for the better part of nine innings in last Friday’s AAA District I tournament opener with visiting Emerald. That all changed for the better in the bottom of the 10th as William Cobb snapped a 1-1 tie with a two-out, game-winning single to seal the deal on a 2-1 Bulldog victory. Offense took a back seat to a quartet of pitchers from both sides squashing any thoughts of an offensive uprising; Camden’s Will Abbott and Devin Beckley combined to fan 18 Viking batters with Abbott recording 14 Ks in eight innings of work.
