In what could be called the anti-Baskin-Robbins game of Friday’s 36th edition of the Camden Shrine Club Football Jamboree, Camden employed what head coach Jimmy Neal freely admitted as a vanilla game plan in a 6-0 loss to Region 6-AAA rival Crestwood in the evening’s finale. Knowing that their teams will hook up again in the conference opener on Sept. 30 at Zemp Stadium, neither Neal nor Knights’ head coach Keith Crolley was going to give either side something to think about on this night. Camden, running just a handful of plays, was held to 12 yards in offense on 15 snaps with 14 yards coming in the air.
Crestwood outlasts vanilla Dogs, 6-0
