CAMDENS KAL DAVIS SIGNED a national baseball letter-of-intent with USC-Lancaster while flanked by his parents, Ida and James Davis. Looking on from behind are Camden High assistant baseball coach Casey Faulkenberry, CHS head baseball coach Denny Beckley, CHS principal Dan Matthews and CHS assistant baseball coach Brian Kersey.
After what was considered a sub-par junior season, Kal Davis put up some eye-popping numbers for the Camden High baseball team this past spring. Obviously, his final high school campaign did not go unnoticed. In the end, USC-Lancaster won out in what was the battle to obtain Davis’ services as the county’s leading hitter joined the growing number of Kershaw County players to cast their lot with Steve Williams’ Lancers.
