The Lugoff-Elgin Middle School wrestling team had four wrestlers on the elite 19-member Team Palmetto squad which represented South Carolina and finished 19th in the United States Middle School National Duals held April 12-13 at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. The wrestlers pictured along with L-EMS head coach Ted Monroe, center, are, from left, Taylor Catoe, Dalton Haven, Devin Wilson and Noah North, who is displaying his plaque after finishing fifth in the 124-pound division and being named an All-American at the NHSCA National Wrestling Championships held in Virginia Beach, Va., earlier this month. Camden Middle School eight graders, C.J. Jones and S.J. Lucas, both champions at the Carolina Invitational this year, were also part of the Team Palmetto squad which made the 20-hour bus trip to Iowa.
