Emerald proved to be a mere bump in the road for the Camden High boys’ tennis team which advanced to Monday’s third round of the AAA Upper State tournament with a 6-0 whitewashing of visiting Emerald in a match played last Thursday on the Roger Smoak Tennis Courts. The Bulldogs, who defeated Woodruff, 4-2, in last Tuesday’s opening round, hosted Clinton in Monday’s Upper State semifinal with the winner of that pairing hosting the winner between West-Oak and Powdersville in Wednesday’s AAA Upper State finale. The AAA state championship match will be played on Saturday at noon at the Cayce Tennis Center.
