In the ultimate "win or stay home" game, the Camden boys basketball team will be sitting the AAA state playoffs out. Not even starting senior SaVonn Wingate, the last link to the Bulldogs’ 2008-09 state titlists, was enough for the current edition of Ron McKie’s Bulldogs to enter post-season play as visiting Hartsville downed CHS, 62-48, Thursday night on Coach Mike Culp Court at CHS. Wingate, a starter as a sophomore on the championship team of two seasons ago and an all-region selection as a junior, injured his right knee last spring. The ailment forced him to miss the entire 2010 football season and every basketball game, save for Thursday’s Senior Night make-up contest with the Red Foxes.
