Quickly but surely, they came off the court in rapid succession starting with Jo Jo Tiller, who needed just 33 minutes to put away his first singles opponent from Cane Bay. In what amounted to a public exhibition, the Camden High tennis team continued its winning ways as the defending AAA Lower State champions opened defense of their title with a 6-0 plastering of the visiting Cobras (10-4) Thursday afternoon at the CHS Athletic Complex. The win was the 19th in as many regular season starts for the Bulldogs, who will travel to meet Bluffton in Tuesday’s second round pairing which is slated to begin at 4 p.m. In the other half of the Lower State final four, defending state champion Chapin will host Myrtle Beach.
