Forty-pitch first innings are hardly harbingers for success but Camden and Devin Beckley were able to overcome a shaky start and held onto first place in the Region 4-AAA standings with a come-from-behind 8-5 win over Richland Northeast on Tuesday. Beckley, a 6-foot-3 right-hander, was touched up for four runs as the Dogs made two errors which helped pave the way to a four-run RNE top of the first. From there, Beckley would allow one more --- unearned --- run while fanning a dozen batters before giving way to William Cobb who worked to one batter in earning his third save of the season.
