Having held up their end of the bargain, Camden players were all smiles following quarterback Devin Beckley’s three-yard touchdown carry with 84 seconds left to seal Friday’s 45-32 win over visiting Lower Richland. The victory meant all Chapin had to do was to maintain its 21-7 lead over A.C. Flora to send Camden in to the AAA state playoffs. By the time the Bulldog players were lining up to sing the school’s alma mater, word was filtering through from Chapin that A.C. Flora rallied from its two-touchdown deficit to hand the host Eagles their first loss of the season, 28-27.
