First half woes leads to first Bulldog loss
HHS jumps to 17-0 lead, hangs on for 17-13 victory
CAMDEN'S TAYLER WORKMAN (12) stretches out to try and bring down Hartsville running back Ernest Wallace in first half action from Friday's game at Zemp Stadium.
As if he just wanted to make sure, Jeff Calabrese turned and took a quick glance at the Zemp Stadium scoreboard. Calabrese, the Hartsville head coach, was still a bit stunned, not so much by his team’s 17-13 win over previously unbeaten Camden, but by holding a potent bulldog offense to just two touchdowns. The guests did all their scoring damage in the opening 20 minutes of the contest.
