It took more than four years and 54 games to happen, but the Camden Middle School girls basketball team saw their 55-game win streak come to an end when the Lady Eagles fell to Furman Middle School in a 57-56 double-overtime thriller in the championship game of the Palmetto Middle School Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by CMS. After her team’s streak came to an end, CMA head coach Cassandra Summers was philosophical in looking back on the four-year run. "We would love to have won game number 55," she said, "but as coaches, we are relieved that now, we are back in a place where it’s OK to win some and then, lose some. "I still believe, at this level, you are going to win more ballgames than you lose if you have girls who can run the floor, handle the ball and make layups.
