BRYAN NOLASCO SCORED TWO of Camdens 10 goals in Tuesdays win over Lower Richland.
Bryan Nolasco, Jerry Jones and Clark Joseph scored a pair of goals each as the Camden boys’ soccer team rolled to a 10-1 win over host Lower Richland in a Region 4-AAA match played in Hopkins on Tuesday. The victory evened the Bulldogs’ overall record at 2-2 while they leveled their conference mark after two contests.Nolasco got the ball rolling for Mark Chickering’s troops as he redirected a corner kick with a header into the back corner of the net at the seven minute mark for the game’s first goal. Eighteen minutes later, Cooper Ball scored gained control of a deflection from off the foot of an LR defender and deposited it into the goal from the 18-yard box.The second goal, Chickering said, was the one which gave the Bulldogs the emotional lift which he and his team were looking for in this contest.“We took control early but after the first goal, we sort of struggled finishing our scoring opportunities,” the first-year Bulldog boss said. “Once we got the second goal, the flood gates, sort of, opened up and it seemed like our guys found their confidence.”
