CHRIS OUTTEN SCORES a touchdown in Camdens win over Midland Valley in the 2008 AAA state playoffs. Used mainly as a linebacker, Outten played fullback and found his way into the end zone 14 times in his three-year varsity career at CHS.
When Chris Outten graduated from Camden High in 2009 and then, headed west to play junior college football at Feather River College, he dreamed of the northern California school as providing the stepping stone which would help him get into the major college ranks. For two years, the 6-foot-1, 245-pound former Bulldog standout manned the middle linebackers’ post for the Golden Eagles. His play garnered interest from some of the heavy hitters in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) ranks, including a planned official visit to the University of Miami.
