After having defeated Indian Land in a tie-breaker to win the Region 4-AAA girls’ tennis crown, Camden earned a free pass into the second round of the AAA Upper State tournament after Berea was unable to field a team for Wednesday’s scheduled first round match. By virtue of the forfeit, the Lady Bulldogs will host Woodruff, a first round winner over West-Oak in next Monday’s second round pairing. The match will be played on the Roger Smoak Tennis Courts, located inside the Camden High Athletic Complex along Ehrenclou Drive, beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday.
