Four concussions. At least one shoulder injury and an ankle injury. A revolving door lineup.
Sounds like the trials and tribulations of a football team, right? Not so fast.
That is what Camden High volleyball coach Paige Wilson has had to deal with this season. In spite of those ailments, however, the Lady Bulldogs were in line to win the Region 4-AAA title heading into Tuesday’s match at Chapin.
"We haven’t had everybody on our team available for even one match this season," said Wilson. "Because of the injuries, our lineups has changed every match; it has been ever-changing.
"At the same time, it has helped us to adapt and adjust in our matches. We are getting healthy now and we want to be peaking for the playoffs and we are starting to play the way we are capable of playing. I still think this team has a lot of potential."
Camden will host Lugoff-Elgin tonight in a 6:30 p.m. start inside the Dog Pound. The junior varsity match will begin inside the main gym at 5 p.m.
