Kennedi Stokes worked the first two innings for Lynn Looney’s squad. The right-hander fanned five while allowing one hit in her abbreviated mound stint. Kristen Carter came on in the third and threw the final inning, allowing a run on one hit while striking out three batters.
LR’s pitching proved to be part of its undoing as a Camden received a bevy of walks to go along with three-hit nights from Whitley Kahler, Bree Dow, Amanda Lane and Shelby Troublefield.
In the evening’s opener, the Camden junior varsity also won via run-rule as Katie Ham’s charges rolled to a 15-0 victory over Lower Richland.
