Neal, Bulldogs are wary of threat from Goodman, WF

Jimmy Neal is not a big believer in a team which has one full game under its belt having the advantage over one which is making its season debut. All the 16th year Camden head coach needs to do is look back to a season ago when his Bulldogs, which had lost their opener to Cheraw, fell to 0-2 a week later in a 23-point setback against West Florence, which was kicking off its season that night. While Camden was able to work out some of its kinks in last week’s 15-13 win over Cheraw, the Bulldog boss said they should not expect the Knights to be suffering from any first game jitters when they arrive at Zemp Stadium tonight.“That might be true,” Neal said when asked if there was an advantage to a team’s having played a game already while the other has not. “There are some things which help like going through the first game and experiencing things like being under the lights for the first time. But it wasn’t to our advantage last year.“The excitement factor of that first game is gone and, that might be good and, it might be bad.
