River Bluff and Chapin run to 4-AAA XC titles

Led by a 20th place finish from senior Jordan Wood, the Camden High girls’ cross country team finished fifth in last Wednesday’s Region 4-AAA championship held at Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site.In the boys’ division, the Bulldogs received an 18th place finish from junior Parker Robinson to take sixth-place honors.Chapin, which took finishing places three through seven, captured the girls’ title with 29 points. The Lady Eagles were followed by River Bluff (36), A.C. flora (64), Dreher (133), Camden (138) and Westwood (164).In the boys’ portion of the meet, River Bluff, led by Tony Morales’ course-shattering time, took the title. Morales recently competed in the triathlon World Championships in London.
