MARTEZ VAUGHN PLAYED HIS to earning a grant-in-aid to play basketball at Dundalk Community College in his native Baltimore. The 6-foot-2 forward transferred to Camden in the middle of his junior season and was a member of Ron McKies teams the past two winters.
It’s never easy transferring from one school to another in the middle of an academic year, never mind when you have to travel through several states to do it. When Martez Vaughn arrived at Camden High School after Christmas in 2009, he not only had to acclimate himself to his new surroundings in the classroom, but on the basketball court as well. As a junior, he joined a Bulldog squad which had seven returning players from the school’s 2008-09 AAA state championship team.
