When does the home field not come with its built-in advantage? Try when game day comes after less than two weeks of practice and game time comes in the afternoon sun as opposed to the coolness of the evening. Such is the case for the Camden Military Academy football team, whose season opener with Davidson Day School was moved from a road game tonight to a 4 p.m. home contest at Spartan Field due to Davidson College’s wanting its football team to be the first to play on the newly installed artificial surface.
