Camden sloshes its way past Lady Demons, 46-18
CAMDENS IMANI WYATT (24) defends against Lugoff-Elgins Rachel Larsen in action from Fridays game between the two rivals played inside the Dog Pound at Camden High. The two teams will meet for the third time this season in Thursdays first round of the Mid-Carolina Credit Union Classic in Camden.
While the weather outside was indeed frightful, the action inside the Dog Pound Friday made those conditions seems like a sunny day at the beach. Having raced to a 14-4 lead after the first quarter against rival Lugoff-Elgin, the Camden girls went ice cold in the second stanza, leading 19-8 at the break, before cruising to a 46-18 victory. The win was the sixth in eight outings for Natalie Jeffcoat’s squad, which is ranked fifth in class AAA in the latest statewide poll.
