The Camden High volleyball team celebrated its annual "Dig Pink" night with a sweep over Irmo and Cardinal Newman last Wednesday night inside the Dog Pound at CHS. The Lady Bulldogs, the fourth-ranked team in class AAA, fell to Irmo in game one, 25-23, before taking the second game, 28-26, and then the tie-breaker, 25-14. "We had a slow start in game one, but picked it up near the end to make it close," said CHS head coach Paige Wilson, whose team pulled out game two with a strong closing surge before running away with the tie-breaker. "Irmo is a much taller team and we had to play smart and aggressive to get points," Wilson said.
