With head coach Ron McKie and assistant coach Ron Sims both out with the flu, former Camden High and USC-Aiken standout guard Sterling Council took over the Bulldog reins for one night as CHS traveled to Columbia High on Tuesday. Getting a 21-point performance from senior forward Donovan Belton and another 11 from senior guard Cam Jefferson, the Bulldogs presented Council with his first head coaching victory with a 60-49 win over the host Capitals. The visitors all but put this game away in the first half, carrying a 31-14 advantage into the locker room at intermission.
