County baseball teams to play in pre-season tourneys
COLE IRICK AND CAMDEN will be in Hartsville for the Pee Dee Invitational Pre-Season Baseball Tournament which opens Saturday at Kellytown Field.
All four Kershaw County high school baseball teams will get a jump-start on the 2013 season when they begin pre-season tournament play here in Kershaw County as well as at Midlands and Pee Dee area venues starting on Friday.Here is the information on the three events involving local squads:May Plant Credit Union Baseball Bash: Half of the KC contingent will be in Boonetown for the six-day event which will be played at North Central High School.In addition to the host Knights, Camden Military Academy, Westwood High School and Thomas Sumter Academy round out the four-team field.Due to a scheduling conflict on Saturday, Thomas Sumter Academy may not be able to play both of its game.
