While many Kershaw County residents are trying to figure out ways to stay cool indoors, football players from the three public high schools have been involved in pre-season practice since Friday. All four county programs have their dates set up for the fall season which, again, will kick off for Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central with the 41st annual Camden Shrine Club Football Jamboree at historic Zemp Stadium in Camden on Friday, Aug. 12. All three county public schools will open their season one week later on Friday, Aug. 19 when Camden travels to Lugoff-Elgin to renew that cross-river rivalry.
