County squads kick off seasons with scrimmages

With high school football practice nearing the first week of completion it is time for Kershaw County’s three public school programs to begin their scrimmage campaigns.Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central will all be in action this weekend starting with Friday night scrimmages.Lugoff-Elgin will travel to meet Cheraw on Friday at 6 p.m. At the same time, North Central will host Lamar in Boonetown. Camden’s coaches will get their first look at their team on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to South Carolina State University in Orangeburg to meet Fort Dorchester in a 9 a.m. scrimmage.Here is the entire list of pre-season scrimmages and jamborees for each county squad: Camden: Saturday, Aug. 4, vs. Fort Dorchester at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg (9 a.m.); Tuesday, Aug. 7, vs.
