County wrestlers headed for state

Led by seven qualifiers from Lugoff-Elgin High School, 17 wrestlers from Kershaw County high school wrestling program will compete in this weekend’s South Carolina High School League state individual tournament. The two-day event begins Friday and will continue until champions are crowned on Saturday in all five state classifications at the Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center. While L-E led the way with six wrestlers qualifying in class 4A, North Central will have six in the AA ranks while Camden has four headed for the AAA event.
