Cyclists to overtake CMP

Over the past few weeks, many hours of television coverage has been devoted to events such as the Tour de France or Olympic bicycle races.Come Saturday, bike racing will return to Westville as the Carolina Motorsports Park hosts the second annual Double Down Challenge.The one-day event, sponsored by the Mount Pleasant Velo Cycling Club, will dole out more than $9,000 in payouts and primes.The racing and the CMP facility will be open to the public. Spectators ages 12 and older will be charged $5 each to take in the racing while those children 11 years age and younger will be admitted free of charge. Racers will also be admitted without charge.
