In a match which could have easily been wrestled in Kershaw County, Lugoff-Elgin won the Clash at The Castle crown at Westwood High School last Friday by defeating rival Camden, 64-15, in the championship match of the one-day event contested in Blythewood. It was the third consecutive tournament title in December for Ted Monroe’s charges which were coming off a victory in their own Demon Holiday Classic contested Dec. 15-16 inside the Demons Den. The five wins at Westwood extended L-E’s consecutive dual winning streak to 14 matches after having opened the season with a one-point, 34-33, setback to 5A Rock Hill.
