Demons fend off Falcon rally to take 6-4A opener, 15-10

If one game is any indication of what is to come, the Region 6-4A baseball season can turn into one heck of a wild ride. After breaking out to a 9-3 lead over visiting Darlington Tuesday night, Lugoff-Elgin needed to overcome a seven-run Falcon seventh inning by rallying for six runs in its half of the frame to escape with a 15-10 victory at chilly Optimist Field. One night later, Wilson Hall closed its game with Camden by scoring the final three runs to take a 6-3 victory over the Bulldogs in a game played in Sumter.
