Lugoff-Elgin’s goal of taking the Region 6-4AAA baseball championship now rest on winning their final four conference games and hoping either Crestwood or, Darlington can upset Hartsville at least three times in the four games with the Red Foxes. Last Friday in Kelleytown, an error on a stolen base attempt in the bottom of the sixth inning allowed the Hartsville runner to score from second base with the winning run in a 4-3 Red Fox victory over the visiting Demons. The loss gave HHS a sweep in its two-game series with the Demons, who fell to 2-2 in league play with four games left to be played.
