With no score worse than an 80, the Lugoff-Elgin golf team finished tied for fourth in Monday’s 4A Upper State Golf Championship played over the Willow Creek Golf Course in Greer. The Demons fired a 303 for the 18-hole event, tying them with Riverside. Boiling Springs led the way with a 296 followed by Hillcrest (297) with Gaffney rounding out the top three with a 300.Mike Robinson’s charges will play in the 54-hole 4A state championship tournament to be played at the Furman University Golf course on Monday and Tuesday, May 19-20.
