While some of the numbers may have been similar, the only one which mattered was the final outcome. On a day in which each team collected 12 hits, it was Lugoff-Elgin which spoiled Camden’s Dogfest with a 7-2 victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at American Legion Park. Each of the two cross-river rivals scored emotional one-run conference wins the previous night, but it was the visiting Demons who handled their success better as they did all their damage on a dozen hits; a figure which was matched by the hosts. Camden, however, left 13 men on base while L-E stranded 10.The Demons sent Elliott Campbell to the mound and the right-hander earned his first varsity victory. The 6-foot-5 freshman worked into the fifth inning before handing the ball off to senior Jake Brazell, who went through the sixth.
