Both host Lugoff-Elgin and Cane Bay --- led by former L-E head coach Tim Wash --- had nine wrestlers advance into the semifinals of Saturday’s final day of the 26th annual Demon Holiday Classic wrestling tournament presented by the Connell Law Firm. In the end, the host Demons placed six wrestlers in the finals --- with freshman Brice Carron capturing the 106-pound title --- while Cane Bay had a pair. That helped the Demons keep the championship trophy at home by edging the Cobras, 261.5 to 234.5. A total of 32 schools took part in the tourney in the West Wateree which opened Friday night.
